Downtown Eastside (DTES) Community Access Program (CAP)
The DTES CAP in Vancouver brings together 8 DTES non-profit organizations to offer computer and Internet access in 19 different sites throughout the DTES.
Access to computers and the Internet has been identified as a major hurdle for many of the residents in the DTES. The DTES CAP provides people with computer facilities allowing them to:• View online information
• Assist them in their job search
• Communicate with people via e-mail
• Increase their computer skills
The DTES CAP network is one of the largest in Canada, funded and supported by Industry Canada.
