Program Description:

This is a consortium of 13 community agencies in East Vancouver that offers a six to eight week free parenting program for parents (or caregivers, such as grandparents) and children from 0- 5 years.

Free child-minding and healthy snacks are always provided.

It provides information about children's health, safety, development and behaviour in a supportive environment.

It provides free books on child development and parenting.

Groups also offered in Cantonese, Korean, Mandarin, Punjabi Spanish, Vietnamese and for multicultural/ESL groups.

Some groups also run with an Aboriginal focus.

Fathers and couples are very welcome.

Kiwassa Neighbourhood House coordinates the program with the agencies in the DTES and neighbouring areas listed below.
