Program Description:

The DTES Literacy Roundtable is a group of learning and literacy service providers who have been getting together once a month for the past four years to share ideas, strategies and information.

Literacy means having the knowledge, skills and confidence to participate fully in our lives and communities, improving our health, safety, housing and more.  It can also help to solve problems like isolation and poverty.

Since this spring, we've been working on a new plan for literacy in the DTES.    Everyone who lives or works in the DTES is welcome to share and participate.

This project is organized by the DTES Literacy Roundtable and funded by 2010 Legacies Now.  Joanna Lemay is facilitating and coordinating the plan.

Contact us with questions, comments, ideas and interest.
