GAP

GAP is a pre-pre employment process that utilizes existing community resources to provide a transition to a pre-employment program.
GAP addresses the individual’s personal barriers, or ‘gaps’ that prevent them from entering the pre-employment program.
GAP assists the individual to remove any personal barriers that may prohibit them from entering a pre-employment program, such as health, housing, addiction or day care.
It is a process that is flexible in the amount of time one spends in the program.
For some individual’s engagement in GAP the program may last two weeks and for other persons the GAP process may involve over a year, the time dependent upon the personal barrier they are overcoming, and their particular GAP program content is based on the needs of the individual.
