| GAP |
• | GAP is a pre-pre employment process that utilizes existing community resources to provide a transition to a pre-employment program.
| • | GAP addresses the individual’s personal barriers, or ‘gaps’ that prevent them from entering the pre-employment program.
| • | GAP assists the individual to remove any personal barriers that may prohibit them from entering a pre-employment program, such as health, housing, addiction or day care.
| • | It is a process that is flexible in the amount of time one spends in the program.
| • | For some individual’s engagement in GAP the program may last two weeks and for other persons the GAP process may involve over a year, the time dependent upon the personal barrier they are overcoming, and their particular GAP program content is based on the needs of the individual.
